I'd long wanted a drum sander but couldn't justify the expense of a commercial unit. This one cost just a bit over $200, including a brand new 1HP motor with pulleys and link belt. The series of pictures is incomplete, stopping just prior to adding power. More pictures will be added soon.

All the graphics (logo1, etc) were made up using Paintshop Pro, sized appropriately, and printed on glossy photo paper with an inkjet printer.  They were then sprayed with a 'fixative' made for use with water transfer decals.  This serves to lock the ink in place and protect it.  Any clear spray (lacquer, shellac, etc) would probably work.  The graphics were then cut from the sheets and fixed to the machine with 3M '77' spray contact adhesive.
